QCdc CONNECT is a monthly gathering offering practical, real-world education and support through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. These sessions are free for current QC Doula Connect clients and open to the public for $20 per person. Support people are always welcome—bring a friend or partner!
💡 Oral Ties, Feeding & Function
We’re excited to welcome Tricia Griffin (McConnell), Owner and Speech-Language Pathologist, as our guest speaker for the March Connect meeting. Tricia earned her Master’s degree from Western Illinois University and is licensed in Iowa and Illinois, certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, a The Breathe Institute Ambassador, and a MyoMasterminds graduate. She will share how myofunctional and oral feeding therapy can support infants with oral weaknesses or ties, explain the connection between oral function and breastfeeding, and help families understand what’s normal versus concerning (such as clicking, leaking, or inefficient feeds) and what those signs may indicate. Tricia also offers free screenings and collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team to treat the whole patient, always prioritizing family-centered care.
