Karissa has been practicing as a postpartum doula for two years and has recently added birth doula work to her offerings as a DONA trained doula. Through her journey of becoming a mom of four she realized there were gaps in supporting women during pregnancy and beyond and quickly found doula care to be a way to help mend those gaps for other women growing their families.

 Karissa supports all stages of family planning starting with pregnancy through the postpartum phase. She is passionate about strengthening the family unit during that process so everyone feels supported. She finds most joy in supporting women in labor so they can feel advocated for and achieve their desired birth outcomes and continuing support through the fourth trimester. 

 When not working, she is likely attending a church event, shuffling kids to different sporting events and on rare occasion, can be found watercolor painting with a cup of coffee nearby.
